HOFFMAN ESTATES, Illinois – (September 14, 2004) – The new Slide Sledge® Precision Hammer® from Slide Sledge, LLC delivers consistent, precise impact for faster, easier auto body repairs. The Precision Hammer® tool with its specialized, easy-switch tips can perform virtually any auto body sheet metal repair job, delivering light or heavy force accurately and safely without the inconsistencies associated with traditional auto body hammers.
The Slide Sledge® Precision Hammer® is designed to increase productivity and accuracy in auto body repairs, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Users no longer need to waste time removing and re-installing parts to access the sheet metal and to make room for a hammer swing.
The Precision Hammer® drive bar transfers power through the tip of the tool with concentrated, linear motion. This linear motion eliminates the inconsistency found in the arc of a typical hammer swing and greatly reduces the risk of secondary damage to the vehicle. The tip never leaves the work surface, so users can watch their progress on the finished side of the vehicle without ever missing their mark.
The Precision Hammer® tool can be utilized with two interchangeable, ergonomic handle weights, dependent upon the desired amount of applied force. The 1.5-pound handle weight is the optimal size and power for everyday use. An optional 3-pound handle weight provides additional power when needed.
The Slide Sledge® Precision Hammer® features an exclusive D-Head design, which provides directional control of its interchangeable tips. Simply turn the tool, and the tips turn. The tool features a variety of application-specific tips, which are engineered for a wide range of auto body repairs, including:
• Large ball peen tip to restore curved areas
• Dinging tip to perform general sheet metal bumping and dinging tasks
